Qualification Check
As part of the registration
procedure it is required that the applicant’s
original certificates are brought to the interview
for a visual check, photocopied and verified
against awarding bodies before filing in the
individual teachers file. Where the applicant may
have mislaid the originals Professional Supply
Service will gain confirmation of their
qualifications from the appropriate body.
Identity Checks
Professional Supply Service verify
the identity of each and everyone one of their
staff against two official documents one of which
must include a photograph i.e. passport or photo
card driving licence.
Reference Checks
We undertake at least two
references for each applicant. These references
are confidential and at least one is from an
educational institution.
We
carry out an extremely detailed interview before
deciding whether or not the applicant would be
suitable to join our team and enter schools, we
realise that our reputation is in the hands of the
teachers. Interviews are conducted at our offices
on a face-to-face basis with a director/directors
according to strict guidelines to ensure equal
opportunities. It is at this interview where
originals of qualifications are checked and that
official documents are cross-checked to ensure
applicant identity. Also at this time the final
section of a criminal record check will be
completed by a CRB authorised member of
administrative staff.
We ensure that we comply with the
rules and regulations as set down
by the Dfes Circular 7/96 Guidance on the use
of supply teachers
